Bath time, nail clipping, thunderstorms, the vet's waiting room. Spread something soft and tasty across one of these, stick it to the wall, and your pup is suddenly very busy and much calmer.
Why licking works
It isn't a trick — licking actually releases endorphins for dogs, which is why a lick mat settles a nervous pup so well. It's also a gentle way to slow down the ones who treat every meal like a race.
Why we picked these
Two mats, not one — one for the bathroom wall, one for the kitchen. Or one in the freezer while the other's in use
77 suction cups on the back, so it actually grips a tub, tile, glass or counter instead of being dragged around the room
Food-grade silicone, BPA free — freezer safe and microwave safe, so you can freeze yogurt or pumpkin on it for a treat that lasts
Four sections moulded in, which makes it easy to keep portions sensible rather than guessing
Dishwasher safe (top rack) — or just rinse it. There's a little hole to hang it up to dry
Good to know
Wipe the surface before you stick it on — the suction cups need a clean, smooth spot to grip properly. Peanut butter, plain Greek yogurt, pumpkin purée and wet food all work beautifully.
One safety note: this is a lick mat, not a chew toy. Stay in the room while your pup uses it, and put it away afterwards.
Ships from within the US — usually at your door in about 5 days.
